Gomo Gomo Game Lodge

Situated in the Timbavati Private Reserve, Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a unique and private getaway. This is an intimate, child-friendly camp built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in this pristine and unspoilt Reserve. Known for its excellent game viewing and diverse habitats, Timbavati is the home of the white lion, and now forms part of the greater Kruger National Park, sharing a common and unfenced border.

Gomo Gomo Game Lodge caters for a maximum of only eighteen guests. Shaded by age-old Jackalberry and Leadwood trees, the camp comprises five fully furnished, thatched chalets and four East African-style luxury tents - all built in traditional style with en-suite facilities. The emphasis is on outstanding comfort and tasteful decoration. Electricity for bedside lamps, fans and power points is supplied throughout.

Central facilities include massive viewing deck with a 180-degree view of the river, shaded by an age-old Leadwood tree. It is here that breakfast and lunch are served, whilst dinner is served in traditional African style around a log fire in one of two Bomas. The cuisine is a combination of African and Western influences with the focus on exceptional quality.

Game drives are conducted by experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers in open 4X4 vehicles, which allow for excellent photographic opportunities. Guests may also enjoy guided bush walks, which provide an insight into nature's finer details and the chance to track game on-foot. Your safari at Gomo Gomo Game Lodge allows access to over 12 000 hectares of the finest big game country, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo thriving alongside giraffe, zebra and a variety of antelope. Bird watching is excellent, with a good variety of eagles, owls, francolins, kingfishers, rollers and weavers amongst the over 300 recorded species.
