Rhino Walking Safaris

What better way to experience the wilderness, than on a walking trail? Rhino Walking Safaris takes guests on specially tailored walking trails in a private concession within the Kruger National Park, which has an unfenced border with the renowned Sabi Sand Reserve. As the area is known for its excellent game, guests are ensured of a memorable Safari.

Rhino Walking Safaris also has exclusive use of some of the Kruger National Park’s public roads for evening game drives – thus allowing access to the fascinating nocturnal world of the bush. Highly qualified guides share their wealth of bush knowledge with you – from the identification of animals, trees, grasses, insects and birds to the medicinal uses of plants, folklore and basic tracking and survival skills.

Any combination of multi-day walks, game drives or primitive sleep-outs on raised wooden platforms can be arranged. Luxury accommodation is also available at the romantic Plains Camp and Rhino Post Safari Lodge. The concession is a stone’s throw from Skukuza, the heart of the Kruger Park, and is easily accessible by road or air.

A walking Trail makes and excellent addition to a more traditional Lodge stay, and combines well with a relaxing visit to one of Mozambique’s Falcon Lodges.

There are 3 choices of accommodation (and combinations thereof), offered in this pristine concession.
