Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp

Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is the second of Honeyguide’s tented camps in the Manyeleti Reserve. For self-drive clients, vehicles are parked at Khoka Moya, and game drive vehicles transfer you to Mantobeni.

The Camp is designed to reflect Safaris of a bygone era, and has 12 large tents, nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. The tents are all comfortably furnished with king-sized beds and soft leather couches. Each tent leads onto its own bathroom with concrete bath, double shower and separate toilet.

The main lodge area houses reception, a large lounge, with indoor and outdoor seating, bar, and wine cellar.

Drawing from the expertise of and award-winning chef, meals reflect the Camp’s philosophy of simplicity, quality and the very best in fresh produce. Most dietary requirements are catered for, provided prior arrangements have been made.

You are woken to the sound of beating drums and tea or coffee is served in the tents, before heading out for the early morning game drive. All such drives (morning and late afternoon), are in open vehicles, and are led by experienced guides and trackers.

In addition, there are guided walks after breakfast, where you get to learn about the small, yet fascinating creatures of the bush, along with information about the environment. You also have the chance to see game at the Camp’s water hold, which is within site of the swimming pool, and deck adjoining the main lodge area.
