Sefapane

Large indigenous trees and beautiful tropical gardens make Sefapane Lodge an oasis from which to explore the northern section of the Kruger Park (only 1 kilometre away), and surrounds.

There is a variety of accommodation at the Lodge – from a traditionally inspired Rondavel to a self-catering Safari Home.

The Traditional-style Rondavels are well appointed, and have a rustic feel. They have twin beds, mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom, fridge, tea/ coffee making facilities, and are air-conditioned. There are Standard and De Luxe Rondavels, with the latter being more spacious, with a comfortable, small lounge area. All of the Rondavels have a private veranda, and private parking.

In addition, there are also Family Rondavels. Each has 2 bedrooms with twin beds, 1 with a bunk bed, and shared bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.

You might also wish to stay in the more luxurious Safari Homes. These are thatched houses, each with spacious lounge, satellite TV, and DVD player. There are two bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, patio, and outside shower, with extra guest bathroom, and a spacious loft with bedroom. Enjoy the use of the fully equipped kitchen, in addition to the wooden deck with barbecue facilities. There is parking space for 2 vehicles, and the house can accommodate up to 8 guests.

You can relax in and around a large swimming pool with sunken bar – perfect for the refreshing sun downer.

Although a perfect place for self-drive guests, the Lodge also offers a number of activities and excursions, all of which are conducted by experienced guides. All game drives take place in the neighbouring Kruger National Park, and open safari vehicles are used. Your can choose from a full day, morning or evening safari, and there is also a traditional bush barbecue. For the more adventurous there is also a bush walk – a great way to learn more about the bush.

In addition, there are excursions on the River, Cultural and Village Tours, day trips to the breath-taking Panorama Route (Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck, God’s Window), a visit to the Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, and early morning Hot Air Balloon flights. You might also want to do some horse riding, quad biking, or even try abseiling.

Back at the Lodge, you can visit the Baobab House with its lovely gardens, which is the setting for the salon. Here there are a wide range of hair and beauty treatments on offer.
